Barbera

Estate Grown, Columbia Valley

Planted in 1990

Many people love our Barbera and it has been a signature wine for us. The availability of our Estate Grown wine is limited by the size of our Vineyard. We do purchase grapes from growers in the region and offer a Columbia Valley Barbera as well.

Barbera, a significant Piedmont grape, is known for its versatility and adaptability to almost any environment. In the past, growers have often planted it in their poorest plots to produce large yields and make rustic, tart table wines, but with the modernization of Italian viticulture and winemaking techniques, barbera is producing powerful, concentrated, and distinctive wines.

Barbera wines can be either fresh, fruity, and youthful (without oak aging), or produced in a more robust, drier style that ages well for many years.

Our estate barbera is our richest and most intense red, packed with dark red berry flavors, including black cherry, currant, and black raspberry. Solid acidity allows this wine to remain well-balanced with a long, vibrant finish.
