Dolcetto
Estate Grown, Columbia Valley
Planted in 2005
Dolcetto typically ripens earlier than the other two main Piedmontese reds (barbera and nebbiolo), and produces a darker, purple colored wine.
Its name means "little sweet one" in Italian, and has aromas of violet and black fruit. Unlike its Italian name, however, Dolcetto is traditionally a dry wine with low levels of acid and sweet tannins.
We've handcrafted our Dolcetto to minimize any hard tannins, making it perfect for drinking now. Typical flavors include black fig, blueberry, and a hint of licorice.
